However, by the grace of God, this project has led me to a brilliant idea. Why not have a special afternoon tea as a fundraiser for our mission trip? You see, Ian and I are heading off to Kondoa again in just a month to speak at a conference Bishop GIven has arranged for his clergy and lay leaders.
The quilt then becomes a special part of our mission. All those people who contributed pieces of table linen will be able to see how they have been pieced into a new thing of beauty.
I have also invited more experienced quilters than I to show their work and some will even offer work for sale. My nephew may hang some of his artwork. The 'gallery' - as I call my garage filled with Dad's paintings may also be of interest.
Tickets are available from Lynelle Mann (424-0808) or me (424-0939).
