Junior Church - Sundays at 10am
At St Stephen’s we love to give our children the best biblical teaching and include them in the worship. We have a varied programme through the month as follows:
1st Sunday of the month: The service is a little different today, designed to foster interconnection between all those present from the oldest to the youngest and everyone in between, and thus growing our sense of community. As for all weeks, Holy Communion is celebrated in the second part of the service.
2nd, 3rd & 4th Sundays of the Month the children meet with the adults at 10am, then after some songs and prayers, go to their own classes where they journey through the Bible together before returning to the service at about the time Holy Communion is celebrated
5th Sundays of the month: The children participate in the service, remaining in the auditorium throughout the service and thereby gaining a greater understanding of church as they mature. There is an area of the church set aside for them to work on crafts and activities that are prepared each week. These are based on the bible readings for the week so that the content is relevant to what they are listening to with the adults, and allow for engagement of more modes of learning in the service.
We also hold Messy Church on the last Sunday of the month, 4pm-6pm for family time & food. See more here.
You are welcome to come, see and stay.
For any more information, you can call the office (09) 554 0747 or just turn up Sundays at 10am.
Please feel free to join us as and when you wish.
