SPRinG

Spring stands for “Single People Renewed in God” and is designed to be a group where you will find friendship and fellowship.

At our first meeting we got off to a flying start at the Local Café in Manly which was a handy location for everyone. We were all able to sit on either side of a long table which made talking and laughing easy to join in and there was a great deal of both!

There were thirteen of us which proved that there is a need for a group such as this in our Parish. There are no rosters, minutes or subscriptions and anyone on their own is very welcome to join us - men and women.

I am sure many of us can relate to wanting to go somewhere and having no one to go with. Now that is no longer a reason for not going - join us and meet new people and get out and about!

A host of suggestions were put forward by us all, including trips to Wenderholm, the Puhoi Cheese Factory and church, the Plant Barn and the Pioneer Village at Silverdale, Dahlia Haven, Shakespear Park, Parnell and the Museum, a trip on the Jane Gifford, a movie and café afterwards, Estuary Arts, to name a few.

If you are interested in joining Spring People and don’t have transport we will arrange to pick you up and take you home.  Car-pooling will be organised when there are distances to travel.

So, get in touch with Vanessa Walker (428 2410) and join in the fun!
